The Evergage platform has an updated look and feel designed to streamline usability. This design makes it easy for you to find what you need as new functionality is continuously added to Evergage. This article will detail highlights of how to navigate the platform and will compare the previous experience with the new one.

The navigation menu is on the left. Submenus appear when you hover, or drop down when you click a main navigation item (like Reports). You can collapse the menu to gain additional screen area by clicking  in the lower left corner of the application window.

Sections in this article

The Channels & Campaigns section organizes the different touch points where you can interact and communicate with visitors and customers into Web, Email, Mobile, and Third Party. You can access campaigns and campaign-related resources by hovering over a specific channel in the left-hand navigation menu.

You can access user and account segments in the Audiences section of the left-navigation menu. User Segments shows you existing segments and gives the option create new ones. Details about the segment are listed below the segment list. All Users shows you a list of all visitors to your site, including active visitors indicated by, which you can sort by User ID or Last Activity.

You can switch to a different dataset by using the selector in the blue bar at the top of the application, just to the right of the Evergage logo. Many customers have only one dataset, but if you personalize multiple digital properties, you likely have to change datasets.

The date picker offers several standard date ranges: past day (beginning at midnight UTC), past week, past month, or past quarter. You can also select a custom range by dragging your mouse over the time period or using the arrows at the top to navigate to a start and end date. If you select a Custom Range, click APPLY to run the query and see the changes.

You can export campaign statistics to a CSV file right from the Campaigns list screen. Select the channel, select a campaign, and then click  to automatically download the file.

You can quickly access your product and/or content catalog, along with subsets of the catalog like brands, authors, item classes, or content classes, by mousing over Catalog on the left navigation.

Whether you have been using Evergage for years, or just a few days or weeks, adjusting to new interface changes can be challenging. But we think you will like the refreshed design of the Evergage platform. In this section of the article, you'll see where some of the functionality is located now in the updated version of the platform.

Some settings have new names or have been moved from the Settings section to other navigation sections, others are just in a different order in the list. Again, the goal was to make it more intuitive to use Evergage.

Previous Settings Options

Manage Users and API Tokens have moved under Security

Third-party Integrations is now at the top level on the left navigation menu under Third-Party. You will start by seeing only the Integrations option from the menu, but as you integrate additional third-party products, you will see them listed on the Third-Party menu as well.

Item Setup is now called Catalog SetupYou'll find it in the Data Model section in Settings.

Email has its own section under Channels & Campaigns

Setup is now called Integration and it is still available in the Settings section of the platform

Native Apps has moved to the Mobile section of Channels & Campaigns

Item Setup has moved from Settings to the corresponding channel section section of Channels & Campaigns. Web templates are available under Web. Triggered email templates are available under Email > Triggered Email. Open time email templates are available under Email > Open Time Email

JavaScript Integration, Beacon Version, Site-Wide JavaScript, Site-Wide CSS, and Visual Editor settings have moved to Channels & Campaigns > Web

Current Settings Options






Campaigns have been separated by channel with channels for Web, Mobile, Email, and Third Party. Web campaigns include those that you have created for your website, whether or not they are intended for mobile audiences. Mobile campaigns include those that have been created for a native mobile app. Email includes both triggered and open time email campaigns. Third Party includes all campaigns created for use with third party products such as Marketo, Eloqua, or Act-On.



Segments have been split into user and account segments at the top navigation level. If you do not have accounts, you will only see the option for User Segments. Selecting All Users will show you a list of all visitors to your site since the JavaScript Beacon was activate. A green circle indicates visitors active on your site right now.

Several reports including Top Campaigns, Segment Compare, Geography, and Day and Time are no longer available from the Reports menu. Segment Compare is available from within segments. For more information on Reports, please see the Reporting Screen Overview article in this knowledge base.
