View Message Source Code

Videos can be added by placing the embed code for the video directly in the Message Source editor.

  1. Log into Interaction Studio or open the Visual Editor
  2. Create or edit a campaign
  3. Add or select the message you want to contain a video
  4. Click Message Source Code at the bottom left of the Visual Editor

You can also access Message Source Code by clicking  in the upper left corner of the Campaign Editor window, selecting the experience, and clicking next to the message

Add the Embed Code

Now, copy and paste the embed code into the message source code to include any video you want.

  1. For a YouTube video, click Share
  2. Select Embed
  3. Copy and paste the highlighted code into the HTML of your Interaction Studio message in the first line of the source code
  4. Click APPLY

Adjust Your Message

  1. In the Top Level Styles pane, change the height and width of the message to match the height and width of the video In many cases, the embed code will include the exact dimensions of the video
  2. Click APPLY
  3. To reposition the video in the message, add <div> tags around the video (remember the close </div> tag) You cannot move a video around your message by dragging it because the video is in a web page inside an HTML element on a parent page, also known as an <iframe>

  4. Click APPLY

  5. Add Adjust Message Settings and Rules as needed based on the Message Type you selected In this example, the popup message settings were changed to center the message on the page

  6. The video will display in the message
