New Name: Marketing Cloud Personalization
Interaction Studio (formerly Evergage) is now known as Marketing Cloud Personalization. The new name reflects our mission and vision for innovation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. We wish we could snap our fingers to update the name everywhere, but you can expect to see the previous name in various places until we replace it.
There are a number of data variables that can be used when creating a segment including pages visited, products viewed, time spent, and campaigns viewed. But you can also create custom fields in Interaction Studio called "attributes" to capture other data then use it to segment users.
Create Segment Based on Other Segments
To leverage an already created segment when building a new segment you will use the gears audience rule. You are able to choose one more segments in a single rule. When selecting more than one segment, the rule will apply if a user falls into one or more of your selected segments. Rules based segments and segments that have been brought in through etl or a connector as eligible to be selected in this rule. Disabled segments will not be available for selection in this rule.
- Create a Segment
- Add a GEARS rule
- Select Audience -> Segments in the menu for selecting a rule
- Select the include/exclude parameter
- Select one more more segments
