Interaction Studio Classic Only
This use case is for customers using Interaction Studio Classic (formerly Evergage Classic) ONLY. For customers using the Interaction Studio 'Campaigns and Templates' application, refer to the Use Case Library instead.
When shoppers spend time viewing a product detail page (PDP), they are expressing interest and intent towards that product as well as that category of products. Since shoppers typically view multiple products before checkout, it is important to help them discover similar products with the goal of encouraging them to continue to browse your website – and ultimately converting.
Segment

Measure
The campaign’s effectiveness can ultimately be measured by tracking revenue per user, conversion rate, and average order value.
Setup
Process
Here is a checklist of what you need to do in Interaction Studio to create this play on your own site:
Create a campaign using Einstein Recipes for promoted products
Use campaign rules to target the campaign to the View Item page (PDP)
Build a recipe using the Similar Items ingredient -- be sure to include a fallback ingredient such as Collaborative Filtering or Trending
You can include Boosters or Exclusions as necessary in this recipe
Test your recipe to ensure you are seeing results you would expect
Create a message in your campaign, then insert an Item Block into the message
In the Promoted Content section, select the recipe you built and the Item Template you’d like to use for recommendations
If you haven’t built an item template, your Customer Success representative can help you set one up
A best practice (with any campaign) is to A/B test this campaign against a traditional control (no message), or against a message with a Trending recipe.
Once you’ve tested your campaign, publish it to make it live on your site
