Interaction Studio Classic Only
This use case is for customers using Interaction Studio Classic (formerly Evergage Classic) ONLY. For customers using the Interaction Studio 'Campaigns and Templates' application, refer to the Use Case Library instead.
One of the primary objectives of a gaming/betting website is to encourage people to come back to the site regularly and increase their betting/playing activity. By offering people an opportunity to join a VIP club - with more games, exclusive offers or access to a personal account manager - you will make them feel like they are part of a select group and also encourage them to spend more time on the site.
Segment
Create a segment of non-VIP customers who will see the message. These are visitors who have been actively playing, or those you have identified as good potential VIP customers. An example of a segment configuration might be visitors who have played more than 3 times in the last week, have spent more than $50 during that timeframe, and have more than $50 of funds in their account.
Measure
Since the goal is to get people to join the VIP club, you would set a goal of “is a VIP member.” You would also want to look at global goals to make sure those invited to join the VIP program continue to maintain defined standards for this level of player. Examples might be “Spent more than $100 in a week,” “Played more than 5 times in a week,” “Spent more than 3 hours playing in a week.”

Process
Here is a checklist of what you need to do in Interaction Studio to create this play on your own site:
- Create a segment of people who are likely VIP’s. This can be something you can build based on website interaction, or a variable that you can pass into Interaction Studio
- Exclude anyone who is already a VIP, which is data you could set as a page level variable or pass through a CRM system
- Create the message and include / exclude those groups
