Interaction Studio (formerly Evergage) is now known as Marketing Cloud Personalization. The new name reflects our mission and vision for innovation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. We wish we could snap our fingers to update the name everywhere, but you can expect to see the previous name in various places until we replace it.
You can limit the number of triggers Interaction Studio sends for a user profile.

Trigger Frequency Limits
You can set trigger frequency limits so an individual doesn’t receive more than the limit you’ve set for a time period. There are three types of trigger limits:
- Global—This limit restricts triggers across all campaigns and every item in your catalog. For example, if you set a global trigger frequency limit to three times a week, twelve times a year, and fifty times for all time, it applies to all campaigns and items, regardless of the limits you’ve set at the campaign or item level.
- Campaign—This limit restricts the number of times an individual campaign can trigger for a user profile. Each campaign has its own trigger limits so you can set them based on your strategy for each campaign.
- Item—This limit restricts the number of times an item appears during a campaign. You can override this setting in each campaign.
Interaction Studio evaluates all frequency limits when the trigger occurs and again after any delay you configure for a campaign. If there’s a conflict between frequency limits, the lowest frequency wins. For example, you have a global or campaign frequency limit of no more than one per day and three per week. User or catalog behavior triggers the campaign every day. After the third day, Interaction Studio blocks the campaign because it has reached the frequency limit of three per week.
