The Selligent integration with Evergage is a partial third party product integration.

The current functionality includes:

  • A push of Evergage segments to Selligent as 'extensions'
    • Pushes emails to the 'email_address' column in the Selligent extension
    • Only confirms Evergage user _id is in email syntax
    • If a segment is renamed, it will be pushed to Selligent with the new name which may create a new segment in Selligent
  • A uni-directional sync which does not pull data from Selligent

Setup in Evergage

Before you can start configuration, an administrator must enable Selligent for the dataset. Please click CONTACT SUPPORT if you need assistance.

Once enabled, authenticate the integration.

  1. Log into Evergage as an Administrator
  2. Select Third Party > Integration Setup
  3. Select Selligent Message Studio

Configure Connection

  1. In the Configure Connection modal, complete the fields as follows:
    1. The Organization, API Key, User Name, and Password correspond to the same user in Selligent Message Studio. Ideally a new specific user is created for use by the Evergage integration, and has its user role restricted to Extension use only.
    2. The endpoints are typically based off the Selligent login URL. For the login URL example: :
      1. REST Endpoint is typically
      2. SOAP Endpoint is typically
        1. Specifically, it's the 'soap:address location' from the wsdl found at :

          <wsdl:service name="MailingService">
            <wsdl:port binding="tns:MailingServiceServiceSoapBinding" name="MailingServicePort">
              <soap:address location=""/>
  2. Click AUTHORIZE to begin the configuration which may take a few seconds
  3. Once successfully authorized, the Setup tab will show:
    1. Status: Authenticated
    2. Sync History
    3. Nightly Sync setting
    4. A SYNCHRONIZE NOW button

  3. Select the Evergage Segment to push to Selligent

The Selligent name is automatically populated and not editable

Selligent Use

Log into Selligent with an account that has permissions to create Targets based off Data Sources and Extensions.

Evergage Segments will be pushed into Selligent as extensions.

  1. At the left, select Data Management > Data Sources > Extensions
  2. Emails will be located under the column email_address
  3. Click Preview to view the email addresses included in the output

Data Sources

You should have your master customer database as a data source, likely an Internal Data Source.

  1. At the left, select Data Management > Data Sources > Internal Profiles
  2. This database will have whatever you need for emails to your customers, perhaps a first name, whether they've unsubscribed, and maybe a primary key that is not an email
  3. Click Preview to view profiles included in the output

Targets can represent a segment of users, by creating a union between an Extension and a Data Source

  1. On the left-hand menu, navigate to Audience Data > Targets

2. Click + Create to create a new target for a corresponding Extension pushed by Evergage.

3. Use a similar name to the Extension that will be used

4. Click Select Data Source

5. Select your master customer data source

6. Click Select

7. Click Select Extensions

8. Select the Evergage extension

9. Click Select

10. The newly added extension will show as unmapped with a warning triangle and 0 under Map Columns

11. Click  under Map Columns

12. Map the email_address column in the extension to the email column in the data source

13. Map Columns will show 1 and the warning triangle will disappear

14. Select Options as needed including removing users with email addresses that have bounced or users who have unsubscribed

15. Click Next >

16. The target is now configured to use email address to connect the master data source with the extension. Only users with a corresponding email address in the master data source will be output by the target

17. Click Preview to view a sample of the output

If you have selected "Exclude Unsubscribed" or "Exclude Bounce" from Options, you will not see those users even if their email addresses are present in the extension

18. Make any additional changes to the configuration as needed

19. Click Save & Close to use the target in Selligent campaigns
