A customer’s location will often dictate the types of offers he or she should receive. As an example, extreme weather conditions may warrant targeted messages, but only for people in affected geographies.

With Evergage, you can identify a visitor’s geolocation and, when applicable, target her with personalized messages related to specific weather conditions. And since weather conditions can change rapidly, you can build campaigns ahead of time and then instruct Evergage to automatically deploy them – to visitors from specific geographies – when certain conditions are met.

At any point in time, an insurance company serving the US market may have customers experiencing drastically different weather patterns. Using Evergage, you can automatically display relevant messaging on your website based on a visitor’s location and local weather conditions. As seen in the example below, customers in New Mexico dealing a drought and wildfires will see a message very different from customers in Florida who are bracing for a powerful tropical storm.

Segments will be created to identify specific weather alerts using the API data feed.

  • Weather alerts will be sent to Evergage via an API and will be identified in a segment

  • All regions which are being affected by the weather alert will be served with a message related to the weather alert

The measure of success for this time of campaign will be the number of people who converted after clicking on a targeted weather-related message.

This API is available to all customers, but it needs to be configured by Evergage. Contact your Customer Success Representative for more information.
